Arianna Armstrong, Psy.M., MSW

Arianna has been practicing in the mental health field for over fifteen years. She earned a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and has a Masters of Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles. Arianna’s experience focuses extensively on ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, life adjustments, LGBTQ+ issues, ethical non-monogamy, and generally exploring solutions to “un- stuck oneself.” Arianna believes there isn’t just one right tool for the job, so she takes an eclectic approach to mental health treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, meditation, re-framing, narrative therapy, and somatic work. She believes mind wellness is as vital as body wellness, and actively works to destigmatize and democratize mental health care.

Growing up in a small town, Arianna has first-hand knowledge of the impact of bullying, repression, reputation-based culture, tribalism, and othering. She chose mental health as her life’s work when she saw the impact a good therapeutic relationship had on people who had faced these challenges.

In her time off from work, Arianna can be found hiking, doing or teaching yoga, hanging out with her son, or flying on her trapeze. Her ongoing aerialist training also gives her special insight into elite athletics, visualization, and performance mindset.
